To the best of my knowledge, Wisconsin has not yet sponsored a Cafe, and we are so happy to welcome them to the Cookie Cafe family. Thank you, parents! The Mom who coordinated the incoming cookies did a fantastic job keeping me updated. Parents and a grandparent donated money for cookies and I ordered 5 1/2 pounds from Jean Marie Patisserie in Great Neck. They were wonderful to work with and even delivered the goods for a song.

CC went very well today. We had plenty of cookies and cakes and put the extras in the freezer and some pans of crumbled cookies in the Land Hall refrigerator for the Mids to snack on, like we usually do.
Lisa Donitz, from the Alumni Foundation, came in today and said the Mids were SOOOOO happy it was Thursday! She said Cookie Cafe is making a tremendous difference in the Mids' attitudes and morale. Today, like every other Thursday, from her office she saw happy smiling Mids coming down the hill to us. They smile more today than any other day she told us with much enthusiasm.
We had a nice mom from CO, Deb Watson, who helped us today until the end, and Nancy Baransky came at the very end and helped clean up. Harold Essex a KP '54 alum along with his wife, Johanna, have been a tremendous help every week and they are just a wonderful team.
I brought fruit again today, donated by the Florida Parents Association, along with some extra pound cake from Costco. And we got a $28 donation today!
Jean Marie Patisserie delivered about 11 a.m. and their cookies were very nice.

Thanks for emailing the update to me, Muffi! I'm so happy to hear that Wisconsin came through! I was pretty worried that you wouldn't have enough cookies yesterday. The next email I plan to write is to our group of "bakers" to give them all a big "shout-out"!
I messaged my son this morning and asked him if he went yesterday and then if there were enough cookies...his reply was "Mom seriously, there's always enough cookies! It's the best part of the week, because I know that there'll always be enough of something that I like!" He also said that it was extra nice this week because of midterms and the big inspection. He said alot of Mids are pretty stressed out, so it was nice to have that "down-time."
Finally I was forwarded your email regarding the need for cookies for upcoming Cookie Cafes. I would love to help out again, so if I know of dates that you could really use the help, I could plan ahead. Please add me to your "Cookie Angels" emailing list...and maybe post something on our 2015 Parents Facebook page again. It seems like you get a pretty good response when our 2015 parents see the need.
Thanks again for all you do! It warms my heart that there are still people in this world like you!
